Dream Camps

The goal of 'Dream Camps' is to set up educational institutions and programs for generations of children to come. Established in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), it provides an opportunity for children from all over the world to learn about the environment through sport.
Through the cooperation of GSA and UNEP, the first such event, the 'Nature and Sports Camp- Kenya' took place at the Sadili Oval Sports Club near Nairobi, Kenya, in August 2001. Education is the key, and while the one hundred or so children enjoyed soccer and tennis training, they also got involved in recycling, clean-ups and tree planting projects. GSA donated recycled tennis rackets to the children and the project was a success thanks to the cooperation of the Sadili Oval Sports Club.
GSA and UNEP continue to support the Sadili Oval in running their 'Nature and Sport' Camps by providing much needed sports equipment and coaches, and are looking for opportunities to cooperate with NPOs in other countries to run similar programs.
